미켈란젤로의 그림이 보통 당대 화가들과 달랐듯이(보다 3차원적인 생생함;) 데이비드 스미스가 바라보는 세계를 그가 초점을 맞추었던 시각으로 조금이나마 느낄 수 있게 만드는, 꿈의 초안이 담긴 러프 스케치들. 그의 비전과 상념이 가득 담긴 스케치북과 메달들, 조각 작품들. 공간을 휘고 비틀며 뒤엉켜 조율하는 감각. 만지고 싶고, 느끼고 움직이고 싶은 감각이었다. 개중에서 내 마음에 특히 쏙 든 작품들은 대체로 동글동글하고 귀여웠다 ^^; (잇힝~ 사진으로 남겨서 두고두고 보고팠소~)
Dominant Curve (Courbe Dominate)<br />보물 상자들이 가득 뒤섞인 듯한 이미지. 계단. 흐르는 바람.<br /> 부풀어 튀어나오는 설레임. 매끄러운 원형과 어우러진 역동적인 느낌.
Annex Level 3에 자리잡은 칸딘스키 갤러리도 썩 흥미롭고 마음에 들었다. (자그마하니 조촐한 게 아쉽다;)
개중의 밝고 세련된 감각의 산뜻함을 좋아한다. 그런데 왜 내가 멋지다고 여긴 것들은 상품 쪽에서 발견하기가 이리도 힘든 것이야~; 도록은 부담스럽게시리 무겁고 거대한데다 비싸다고! ㅠ ㅠ
탄호이저 컬렉션 쪽에는 그다지 내 취향인 작품이 없어서 가볍게 슥 보고 넘길 수 있었다.
구겐하임... 규모는 작고 입장료는 비싼 편인데... 또 가고 싶은 건 왜일까 ^^;

Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins leads a discussion with choreographers Jorma Elo and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, whose work is featured in The Diamond Project, NYCB's ongoing festival of new choreography. NYCB dancers perform excerpts from the ballets prior to their premiere at Lincoln Center.
