(사주 볼 때 들었던 얘기랑 비슷한 말이라 옮겨봄 ^^; 나무처럼 쉬임없이 정진해 뻗어나가는 기운이 있다던가.)

New York City, known as the "Capital of the World" and the "Big Apple", is one of the
world's centers of culture, fashion, theater, and business in the United States of America.

몇몇 분들은 이미 아시겠지만, 뉴욕으로 떠납니다. 무소의 뿔처럼 혼자서 갑니다.
바닥부터 정상까지의 삶이 혼재한, 잠들지 않는 '인간의 도시'로......
시바와 사이퍼의 맨하탄이자, 배트맨의 고담시. 수많은 이들이 갖가지 노래와 이야기의 배경으로 읊는 곳.
문화 예술이 충만하고, 세계 곳곳에서 다양한 사람들이 무언가를 바라며 끊임없는 물살처럼 흘러드는 곳.
미국이란 데에는 지금도 별다른 호감이 없지만, NYC는 어떨까요... It's up to you로 부딪쳐야겠죠.
(사실 2001년 9.11 테러 때 뉴욕에 있을 뻔하기도 했지요; 이번이 제겐 세번째 기회가 되네요.)
쉽지 않은 결정이었고 제반 여건을 마련하는 데에도 시간이 걸렸으며 앞으로의 여정도 험난합니다만,
어쨌건 지금까지와는 또다른 부분을 갈고 닦으며 배울 수 있는 기회임에 그저 감사하고 기쁩니다.
용기를 가지고 적극적으로 나아가고 싶어요. 그 밖의 마음은 1월 12일자 포스팅에 숨겨놨는데... 거의 못 본 듯.
나는 거기서 과연 무엇을 접해 어떻게 느끼고 배울까요. 나는 뭘까요. 내 자신이라고 부를 수 있는 부분은 무엇일까요. 이제 누구와 함께 걸으며 웃고, 누구와 시간을 보낼까요. 알 수 없지만...... 부딪쳐 구를 가치는 있겠죠.
그간 온기를 나눠주셨던 분들께... 감사의 인사를 드립니다. 덕분에 많이 웃을 수 있었고, 따뜻했답니다.
